The course was designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant, and was opened in 1919.
It has been the home of 5 PGA Tour United States Opens: 1972, 1982, 1992, 2000, and most recently in 2010.

Situated on one of the most picturesque sections of the California coastline, the Pebble Beach Golf Course is truly a sight to see!
Featuring some of the most famous holes in all of golf, Pebble Beach will have you reaching for your camera as often as your driver. The par three seventh hole has you facing directly out to the Pacific Ocean, as the waves crash against the coast. The hole is short, yet difficult as you will be battling the wind.
The eighteenth hole follows alongside of the coast as you make your approach, pretending you are in the lead at the final round of the U.S. Open.
There are many places to stay around the area of Pebble Beach, but if you truly are looking for the entire Pebble Beach experience, a stay at any of the three Pebble Beach Resorts(The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Inn at Spanish Bay, and Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach) is recommended.
Each of these resorts offer year round golf getaway packages, tailored to meet your needs. In addition to golf, there are spa packages, fine dining, and special events around the area to keep you occupied.
World class golf and accommodations make this one of the best golf vacations around!
